Scheduled - We would like to inform you that we will be releasing a hotfix for all customers regarding the sensor disconnect issue. As a result, there will be a brief interruption in service as we restart the system.
The hotfix is scheduled to be released beginning at 16:30 UTC, September 27th 2023, and the restart process should take approximately 10 minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve the stability and reliability of our service.
Please note that during this time, you will not be able to access the service. Once the hotfix is successfully installed, you will be able to resume using the service as normal.

Resolved - The incident is resolved. Thank you for your patience and we apologize for the disruption. A full retrospective will be posted on the USM Anywhere status page (status.alienvault.cloud) after we have had time to fully investigate the issue.

If your USM Anywhere is not functioning normally at this time, please open a support ticket at https://success.alienvault.com to discuss the issue with a support representative.

Monitoring - We believe the problem (Sensor Disconnects) has been resolved. We will continue to monitor the situation and will declare the incident resolved when we are satisfied that the service has returned to normal.
A restart was required to apply the resolution for all Sensors that were disconnected.

Identified - We have identified the cause of the issue with the USM Anywhere service. Sensors disconnected
If you are experiencing Sensor Disconnect please raise a case at https://Success.alienvault.com and the work around to establish connection will be implemented. Please provide the Instance associated with the Sensor(s) in question.

Our technical team is working hard to resolve the issue. You can monitor the USM Anywhere status page (status.alienvault.cloud) for further developments. We will continue to send you additional information as we work to resolve the issue.

Investigating - We are aware of a potential issue with VMWare and AWS Sensors being Disconnected that may be impacting your services. Service update window is 6 hours. All customers in AMER are planned to be updated during this time period. Your service may be unavailable for up to 15 minutes during this period whilst it is being updated.

Once your USM Anywhere service has updated, your sensors will be automatically updated to the latest version. Depending on network speeds, this may take some time.

Sensors may temporarily lose connectivity to your USM Anywhere service and will reconnect once the update has completed.

During the sensor update, data will be cached on the sensor's storage volume and forwarded to your USM Anywhere service when update completes.
